Paul, Thanks for the information, we just haven't "done" an incline....yet.. Did you go up/down in a certain gear? Or am I making too big a deal out of this? Jim

We just moved to Arkansas and are thinking of going to PJ for Turkey-Day. Now, how bad is the incline to the park? Up to this point I haven't been up any kind of mountain.... Thanks, Jim

Black water tank leak, need advice......

We got back from camping and the unit is in the driveway, well there is a small drip coming from the bottom left cornor where the black water gate bolts to the "exit" pipe. I tightened the connection some, (all four cornors)that didn't do any good. The RV repair place told me to replace the rubber gasket between the gate and pipe, they want ~$60 to do it. It's a 2007 unit and I am having problems thinking the gasket is bad.. Now, the black water tank has two gallons of water in it, is there anyway I can empty that here? I'm guessin' not. The other question: is there anything else I can put on it to stop the leak without taking it apart? If necessary I can post a picture if this is not clear... Thanks, Jim

Chuck/Terry, Hope things are going well for you, read about the storm killing most of you camping plans for that weekend....Glad everything worked out for the ones that went. If you ever get up to Arkansas, let me know... MI and Hoops, What level of CoachNet do you have? It really covers everything you drive besides the RV's? How is their trip planning service? Thanks, Jim

ERS...I have to make a choice and need some help..

I don't think this topic has been talked about in sometime, but I need some help. My AAA and CoachNet is up next month, which one to you like/use? I am leaning to CoachNet Plat. service (their top one)and am not sure about that choice either, they have 3 levels of service... Thanks, Jim

RE: Does Anyone Bring The Game Corn Hole To Their Campsite?

I like "Washers", we don't get as many odd looks when we are looking for people to play washers, yelling "Does anyone want to play Corn Hole?" is different..... Jim

Kopy Kat, I am just about ready to buy the blocks, but before I do, can you post some pics of what you made? I would rather go with wood.. Thanks, Jim

RE: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & Gizmos

We saw an interesting one this past weekend.....The guy next door took a 5 gal. whit plastic bucket (used for paint) cut the bottom out punched a hole in the top and installed one of those work lights( the bulb with the cage around it ~200w) and hung it away from his camper. It lit the whole site and the open bottom attracted all the bugs into it, I may have to try it out... Jim

RE: sewer hose storage tubes

How do you attach the 4" PVC pipe to the bottom of the unit? I was thinking of using those long zip ties or metal straping. What have you used? I have two lengths of sewer pipe, just in case, each compacted is 5' in length, do you just leave them connected or have openings at both ends of the pipe? Thanks, Jim

Buiulding a pad for our MH..

Well, we are now living in Cabot, Arkansas and really like the house and the people we have met so far. This is the first time I have the property to park the MH behind a fence on the side of the house. I can modify the gates so I have an opening of 12' opening, which should do it. But, I am also trying to save money on the "pad". I'll have to go concrete to the fence( I guess), but behind what can I use besides 32 feet of concrete? The unit is 29' long, two strips of concrete to park on? I'm trying to save as much money as possible. Is there anything but concrete that I can use to get to the fence? Should I go concrete behind the fence and something else to get to the fence? Any help (as always) is appreciated, Jim

RE: Electric water heater and A/C, not good at the same time?

I always appreciate the education that I get on this board. When running the AC I'll use gas for the water heater, I should have figured that out since there is a switch for electric/gas on the panel for the WH.... Thanks as always for the help.. Jim

RE: Electric water heater and A/C, not good at the same time?

I'll play around with it....One question, does anyone how long it takes to heat the water with gas? (best guess).. Jim

Electric water heater and A/C, not good at the same time?

About a month ago we went camping and used the electric water heater and the AC at the same time, tripped the breaker in the MH. I am being told if you use the AC and water heater at the same time to run the water heater on gas, is this what everyone does? Thanks, Jim
